RIAA is hosting the largest responsible investment gathering in the Southern Hemisphere on 6-7 April.
The Responsible Investment Association Australasia (RIAA) is throwing its annual finance sector event focused on sustainable finance, bringing together over 700 finance sector decision makers, experts from all aspects of the investment chain, Australian and global asset and wealth managers, financial advisers and consultants.
Speaking to the ifa, RIAA chief executive, Simon O'Connor, said the event itself falls at a time that is a very critical turning point for advisers.
“We really see deeply embedded across the finance industry this notion of responsible investment and it is now influencing where funds are flowing, where clients want to put their funds,” Mr O’Connor said.
“What we see is this huge emerging conversation in the advice space where the awareness clients have of responsible investing and ethical investing has grown and really snowballed in the last couple of years.
“Now more than ever, it is critical for advisers to be right on top of developments in the responsible investments space,” he explained.
This event, RI Australia 2022, is supposed to do just that – help advisers digest the plethora of information and products in this space.
“At this point in time in 2022, this conference will be really great and important coming together of the industry to help players navigate through this important time,” Mr O’Connor said, promising a two-day event “loaded to the brim” with informative sessions advisers really need to know about.
