The program, known as Zurich Curriculum, will include 20 stand-alone units spanning a range of topics, such as estate planning, business insurance and succession planning.

Zurich Curriculum will be offered nationally through a combination of face-to-face and online forums, with all units qualifying for CPD points, the firm said in a statement..

Zurich’s head of retail distribution for its life and investments arm, Kristine Brooks, said Zurich Curriculum can help advisers and practices comply with proposed new educational standards.

She added that the program will, more broadly, help lift the level of skills and knowledge across the advice profession.

“Working with high net worth individuals, pre-retirees and business owners brings into play far more complex technical advice strategies, which can require specialised knowledge and experience,” Ms Brooks said.

“The right training and education can provide the skills and confidence for advisers to be more active in these new markets, as well as with cases they may have previously outsourced to dedicated specialists and referral partners.”
