This year’s Women in Finance Awards was held as a live broadcast event, kicking off at 6pm on Thursday, 10 September.

“The Women in Finance Awards look a little bit different this year, but the goal of it remains the same – and that is to recognise the outstanding achievements of women in the professional and financial services industry right across Australia,” said Emma Ryan, deputy head of content, Momentum Media, in her welcoming speech.

“Throughout the course of the evening we’ll be identifying the top talent that make up this important and diverse space, each of whom demonstrate a passion for their area of expertise and exude strong professional performance and leadership capabilities.

“On that note, a big congratulations to all of our finalists tonight. 2020 has obviously not been without its challenges but it’s been incredibly inspiring to see how you’ve successfully navigated through unchartered territory, providing a stellar example to your colleagues and peers.

“As we go through these awards tonight, I hope you’ll be celebrating with your loved ones and will enjoy the evening as not only something to mark a job well done but also as a chance to reconnect with friends and celebrate your success – whether that’s able to be in person or virtually. You certainly deserve it.”

Hosted by Momentum Media, the Women in Finance Awards is a national awards program designed to shine a spotlight on the strength, diversity and innovation female leadership brings to professional and financial services in Australia.
