Tampa Bay resident Bob Robertson, a financial planner by profession, is seeking election as a Republican for the position of District Commissioner, a high-ranking local government official role.
According to the Tampa Bay Times, Mr Robertson is an experienced community and church volunteer who came to prominence as a member of the Pasco Restore Act Advisory Committee to oversee restoration funds stemming from 2010’s oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
Mr Robertson is a strong supporter of public-private partnerships and aims to offer solutions to “struggling families and youth”.
“We need to be working proactively, developing as many public-private partnerships as possible,” he said.
The financial planner will face an internal Republic Party primary election later this month.
