In a statement last week, SuperConcepts said it has plans to expand its operation in Adelaide, which will create 52 new highly skilled jobs in South Australia’s financial services sector.

The expansion will see the company increase its national operations in Adelaide, the statement said.

SuperConcepts chief executive Natasha Fenech said, “We’re excited to be expanding our presence in South Australia and contributing to the growth of the financial services industry in the region.

“This agreement represents another step forward for the SuperConcepts business and will be a foundation for further growth and investment in South Australia.

“We will continue to invest to expand and evolve our offering to both build our presence in South Australia and so we can deliver greater efficiency, both for our business and for our customers through innovative, simple and cost effective solutions.”

The SA government is providing $1.6 million to support the expansion via the Economic Investment Fund.

So what does this mean. My work now goes offshore. SuperConcepts not interested in staff or client needs.

Clients will walk out the door. Perhaps the management that made this decision should be marched out the door.

Ken, Contact Natasha Fenech, CEO Super Concepts and MD of AMP SMSF Sydney who is responsible to “drive AMP’s ascendancy in the SMSF sector by developing, executing and leading the business strategy for SMSF” (according to her LinkedIn profile 05/07/2017)

Anna, there is no management team. I attend the regular updates presented by Nick & his team. I also get the email updates but it is comforting to put a face to the message.

In my 4 yeats as a client I have never seen a management team member at one of these sessions.

My administrator was Richard. He was always very helpful. I wish him the best

It is appalling how big business treats their staff & takes the loyalty of clients for granted. I as a longtime client of Super Concepts would prefer to deal with my local administrator (Grant) each year than try to teleconnect to someone I don’t know who is based goodness knows where.

I will no longer be using Super Concepts as my administrator and I am certain others in our investment club will leave as well.

I wish the staff well. Management can go to hell

It won’t ever be profitable Bewildered. True to form at “Another Messy Problem”. It’s ok to have a few clowns, but there’s just way too many at this Circus.

The expansion into Adelaide is at the cost of 40+ jobs in Melbourne.

AMP’s foray into the SMSF space has been riddled with errors. Many many millions has been spent on acquisitions – Cavendish, SuperIQ, yourSMSF, Super Concepts, superMate, JustSuper & Desktop Super.

More millions were spent on an AMP SMSF brand awareness media blitz only to see another rebranding 18 months later.

I have have suggested previously that heads would role with these blunders. Unfortunately it appears the staff of the Glen Waverley office are paying the price for decisions of the AMP SMSF leadership.

It will be many years before this company is profitable.
