Submissions open for Women in Finance Awards 2024

ifa is now accepting nominations and submissions for the Women in Finance Awards, to be held in November 2024.

The eighth annual Women in Finance Awards black-tie gala ceremony will be hosted by ifa’s parent company, Momentum Media, on Friday, 15 November 2024, at Hyatt Regency Sydney. Click here to buy tickets.

Run with support from principal partner Mortgage Choice, the national awards program recognises the top-performing women leading the charge in the financial services sector and propelling their industries to new heights.

The awards cover a range of sectors within the financial services industry including mortgage and commercial finance broking, financial advice, accounting, and bookkeeping.

Submit an entry or nominate a worthy colleague and/or business by Thursday, 22 August 2024, for your chance to secure this prestigious award.

There are 24 individual and five group submissions-based categories for candidates to enter into this year.

Individual categories include Financial Adviser of the Year, SMSF Adviser of the Year, Principal of the Year, Director of the Year, and Young Leader of the Year.

Fintech leaders, principals, office administrators, mentors, and thought leaders will also be championed at the awards.

At the end of the evening, the highest-scoring individual award winner will receive the prestigious Excellence Award.

Group categories on offer include Employer of the Year (SME) and Training and Development Program of the Year while companies with the best wellness programs and women’s community programs will also be rewarded.

The Women in Finance Awards is the benchmark program for excellence around Australia, showcasing the depth of talent and outstanding contributions made by women to the financial services industry.

The awards celebrate the achievements of entrepreneurs, chief executives and other leaders in financial advice, accounting, banking, finance, and a range of other sectors.

It is open to all female professionals and businesses operating across Australia and opens doors for them to build a reputation for excellence.

By winning an award, women in financial services could elevate themselves and their businesses above the rest of the industry and gain a competitive edge.

For individuals, recognition could help cement their position as a leader in finance and underpin career advancement.

Many innovative professionals and businesses have capitalised on their accolades by distinguishing themselves while attracting and retaining the best talent, while strengthening their position when winning and retaining business.

The winners will be determined by a panel of distinguished judges, who will provide peer-reviewed recognition of your capabilities and passion for driving your industry forward.

How finalists are shortlisted

Momentum Media has developed a robust awards methodology to form the backbone for assessing, analysing and benchmarking Australia’s leading finance professionals. Click here to view the methodology.

The judging criteria for award categories are both quantitative and qualitative, acknowledging growth, business development, diversity, leadership, innovation, business excellence and contribution to Australia’s finance sector.

All businesses and professionals that meet eligibility criteria from across Australia’s finance industry are encouraged to participate in the awards program.

All submissions will undergo a thorough audit process, checking demographic and other information against category eligible criteria based on the information provided in the submission.

Those submissions deemed eligible against submission criteria will be reviewed and assessed by a panel of Momentum Media events and editorial team members and executives (alongside industry stakeholders where required) to determine the finalists for each category.

ifa will reveal this year’s finalists in September 2024.

To enter the awards, decide which categories you are eligible to go into.

Then, register your account through our secure awards platform.

Next, fill in the details of your submission/s.

Finally, when you’re happy with your submission, press save and lodge it.

Submit an entry or nominate a worthy colleague and/or business by Thursday, 22 August 2024, to be in the running to win an award.

Winners will be announced at the black-tie gala ceremony on Friday, 15 November 2024, at Hyatt Regency Sydney.
