Submissions open for ifa Excellence Awards 2025

Nominations and submissions are now open for this year’s ifa Excellence Awards, run in partnership with principal partner, Padua.

Now in its 12th year, the ifa Excellence Awards returns to showcase the top-performing businesses and professionals operating in Australia’s financial services sector.

The prestigious awards program celebrates the individuals and organisations driving the industry forward – from rising stars and innovative start-ups to seasoned executives and established businesses.

Submit an entry or nominate a worthy colleague or business by Friday, 12 September 2025 for the chance to be recognised for outstanding achievement.

This year, there are a total of 30 categories on offer, including 17 individual and 13 group categories, while the highest scoring individual winner will be rewarded with the coveted Excellence Award.

The individual categories include ESG Adviser of the Year, Investment Adviser of the Year, Risk Adviser of the Year, and Dealer Group Executive of the Year.

Companies can submit for group categories, including Holistic Advice Firm of the Year, Business Outcome Leader of the Year, Training and Education Partner of the Year, and Digital Advice Strategy of the Year.

Paraplanners, thought leaders, regional advisers, dealer groups, financial impact teams, and wellness programs will also be recognised as part of the awards program.

The awards will culminate in a black-tie gala ceremony on Thursday, 4 December 2025 at the Hilton, Sydney. Click here to buy tickets.

Winning an ifa Excellence Award is a desirable accolade for individuals and businesses seeking to forge their role in the finance industry.

For individuals, winning an award has the potential to build professional credibility and underpin career development. Companies can capitalise on the awards program to gain a competitive advantage in attracting and retaining top talent.

Finalists will be announced on Wednesday, 15 October 2025 so keep an eye out for your name on the list.

The ifa Excellence Awards, in conjunction with event stakeholders ifa, Momentum Media, and a panel of leading financial advice professionals and businesses, has developed a robust awards methodology to form the backbone for assessing, analysing and benchmarking Australia’s leading advice professionals. The judging criteria for award categories are both quantitative and qualitative, acknowledging growth, business development, diversity, leadership, innovation, business excellence and contribution to Australia’s financial advice sector.

All businesses and professionals who meet eligibility criteria from across Australia’s finance industry are encouraged to participate in the awards program.
