In a statement, Sydney-based MBS Insurance said it had entered into a new joint venture with Perth risk advisers Shane Reay and Jade Burford to create a risk advice office for the firm in Western Australia.

MBS partner Kris Mason said the new venture, to be marketed as MBS Insurance WA, was an exciting development for the group and its aspirations to have a national presence.

“Jade and Shane are exceptional and passionate practitioners and determined to position MBS Insurance WA as a leading presence in the state,” Mr Mason said.

“MBS’s collective scale, streamlined underwriting and established workflow system will allow us to focus on our clients and referral partners obtaining better outcomes from day one.”

Ms Burford and Mr Reay said they would bring a passion for protecting the lives of clients to their new roles.

“An imperative of any wealth creation, lifestyle protection, retirement, estate planning and commercial aspiration is a risk insurance foundation,” they said.

“Above all we are steadfastly dedicated to providing the highest standards of specialist risk insurance advice and service to our clients.

“This focus on our clients will continue to underpin our hard work and endeavours in building the MBS Insurance WA brand and presence in the West Australian marketplace”.

Mr Mason added that MBS was “in growth mode” and had been on the lookout for opportunities to expand its network.

“Our aim is to manage growth carefully in order to maintain the boutique personalised approach to client service and engagement,” he said.

Good to see some growth stories instead of the doom and gloom news. Go for it MBS. Growing riskies are a good thing!
