Realside Financial has appointed a new investment director, finance manager and client investment solutions director to facilitate the growth of this private market investment specialist.

Stepping into the role of the investment director is Justin Lal – formerly an executive director in Goldman Sachs’ principal investment area. His focus will be on ensuring a strong performance of the group’s flagship fund, according to the media release.

Realside highlighted Mr Lal’s experience as an executive director, part of a leadership team that deployed and managed over $6 billion in private debt and equity investments, is what makes him the perfect candidate for the role.

Moreover, Bibiana Yeung was announced as the new finance manager. Ms Yeung’s role will sit within the Realside Property investment team, focusing on providing financial reporting and accounting support.

Ms Yeung has 15 years of finance, property, accounting, and real estate experience, the firm stated. They were keen to highlight her most recent role as a director of client financial services at Knight Frank Australia.

The client investment solutions director role is to be filled by Katrina Christie who will take on managing stakeholder relations and business development.

Ms Christie’s 13 years of experience in Macquarie Group covering research, strategy, operations and marketing and sales was flagged as key to the appointment by the firm.

“Katrina, Bibiana and Justin join a senior team with a combined 100 years solving complex investment problems and generating investor returns from quality off-market opportunities,” said Realside managing partner Alex Hone on the appointments.

“Their appointments will further strengthen our investment focus to ensure that each element of price, return and risk meets the strict criteria we apply to drive optimal client results.”
