According Plutosoft, this integration will help streamline portfolio management and enhance the advice experienced for financial advisers on their platform.

Plutosoft has introduced a data connection with Desktop Broker, allowing trading and execution information to flow directly into the advice platform.

Plutosoft co-founder Vincent Holland said the integration “allows financial advisers to access a consolidated view of their clients’ portfolios within the Plutosoft platform,” adding that “the data feed is particularly helpful for scaled and ongoing advice, enabling advisers to seamlessly generate advice documents without duplication.”

Desktop Broker’s group head of sales, Craig Saunders, said: “With Desktop Broker’s trading and execution data now available to financial advisers using the Plutosoft platform, this integration further broadens the reach of Desktop Broker to deliver all of the tools advisers need to manage trading on behalf of their clients.”

The data feed is now live for Plutosoft users on applicable plans, with Desktop Broker data syncing into the platform’s modelling and reporting tools. Holland said the company’s aim is “to be the most trusted software provider to financial advice practices,” describing Desktop Broker as “a valuable addition to our ecosystem” and noting that it follows recent data-feed integrations with CFS Edge and Generation Life.

Earlier this year, Plutosoft also completed an integration with CFS Edge data feed.

According to the firms at the time, the integration provided Plutosoft users with access to CFS Edge portfolio data, including a view of holdings, transactions, asset allocation and valuations.

Through the integration, they said advisers will be able to generate advice documents within Plutosoft without “duplication, improving efficiency and accuracy”.

“The integration with CFS Edge removes friction from the advisory process,” Holland said at the time.

“The data feed will be particularly valuable for ongoing client advice, allowing advisers to seamlessly generate and implement a wide range of portfolio recommendations in Plutosoft, including rebalancing, switching and in-specie transfers.”
