Sydney’s Sofitel Wentworth was the scene of celebration on 22 August, as the second annual Australian Wealth Management Awards honoured the nation’s top talent in the wealth management industry.

Hosted in partnership with principal partner Metrics, the black-tie gala brought together more than 400 advisers, executives and industry leaders for a night of recognition, networking and entertainment.

This year, 28 winners were selected from 190 finalists across the wealth management landscape, including asset management, financial advice, advice technology, superannuation and SMSF.

Awards were distributed across four main categories: adviser, executive, innovator and fund manager, encompassing seven adviser awards, six executive awards, eight innovator awards and seven fund manager awards.

Australian comedian and actor Dave Thornton emceed the evening, keeping guests entertained while the industry’s accomplishments were recognised.

“These awards are a celebration of the talent, innovation and dedication that drive Australia’s wealth management industry forward,” said Maja Garaca Djurdjevic, managing editor of wealth management.

“From advisers building lasting client relationships to firms pioneering new solutions, tonight recognises those setting the standard for excellence across the sector.”

Hosted by Momentum Media’s wealth publishing network – including Super Review, InvestorDaily, ifa, SMSF Adviser, and Money Management – the Australian Wealth Management Awards celebrates excellence across the wealth management landscape.

Following a successful debut in 2024, the second annual ceremony highlighted both boutique firms and industry giants, showcasing the depth of talent shaping Australia’s wealth management industry.

Winning an Australian Wealth Management Award is considered a prestigious accolade, offering national recognition for excellence. For organisations, it provides a competitive advantage in attracting and retaining top talent, while for individuals, it enhances professional credibility and supports career development.

Winners were determined by a peer-reviewed judging panel comprising respected academics, business leaders, entrepreneurs and innovators, ensuring recognition is grounded in expertise and industry insight.
