Atlas Wealth Management announced plans to open a new office located in the Dubai International Financial Centre.

The new office will be managed by Brett Evans, with James Ridley taking over as managing director of the Australian office.

Atlas said it has received an ‘in-principle approval’ from the Dubai Financial Services Authority and is working with the regulator to finalise the last remaining requirements to be granted a full licence.

“The Gulf region has always been a significant jurisdiction for Atlas Wealth Management, with clients located in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Qatar, and we are looking forward to getting boots on the ground to ensure that Australian expats are able to access compliant and customised financial advice that is specifically designed for Australians in the region,” said Mr Evans.

Mr Ridley said the new Dubai office is a testament to its commitment to the Australian diaspora when it comes to providing them world-class financial advice.

“With Australian and global regulations increasing at a rapid pace it is imperative that we position Atlas Wealth Management so that Australian expats can receive the specialised advice that they require to navigate the maze of financial requirements that have been thrust upon them,” Mr Ridley said.

Atlas provides advice to Australian expats in 28 countries including Singapore, and has won Investment Adviser of the Year 2017 and Innovator of the Year 2016 at the ifa Excellence Awards.
