The new pipeline, titled best of breed sales by Omnium is to help insurers move from single vendor systems and work towards integration with different best of breed tools for each step of a sales journey.
Advisers will be able to enjoy applications from vendors that have perfected their niche rather than a single solution that tends to have its weak points.
This can lead to greater adviser satisfaction and increased business sales according to director Dr David King.
Dr King said the system is easy to operate and solves the challenge that a lot of large insurers find in implementation.
“The challenge large insurers have to implement such a sophisticated sales pipeline is the learning curve required to connect new solutions together in a way that’s meaningful to the insurer,” he said.
According to Omnium, the engine is engineered to work with different market tools without any preference for vendor and instead connects diverse solutions together into one customised sales pipeline.
The best of breed system was implemented late last year with Zurich Australia matching the interface with its existing solutions, facilitating a range of new vendors to provide an overall new business system.
