Current Garvan and MLC FP general manager Mathew Fogarty will leave NAB after three years in the role.

Mr Fogarty is a prominent practice management consultant and speaker, and formerly ran The Encore Group, which he sold to collapsed researcher van Eyk in 2011.

“The changes made to these licensee leadership roles for Garvan, Apogee, MLC Financial Planning and MLC Advice will allow each director to focus on like propositions, driving greater differentiation and the delivery of targeted solutions to align to key client segments within each licensee,” Mr Barnwell said in the communication.

Stephen Poole will retain his role as general manager of Meritum and Alan Logan will remain in the top job at Godfrey Pembroke.

The bank has also appointed Vanessa Rowe as general manager of the NAB Advice Hub, Nick Hilton as head of growth and David Wappett as head of research and relationship management.

Hardly a win for diversity one female amongst the boys club !! Good luck to her as I assume like the men she was appointed due to her ‘knowledge, respect and understanding (connected) of advice and advisors. One thinks that you may eventually eat you words !!!

Actually, not one woman but two – Fabig and Rowe.

Well, at least that’s a win for ‘diversity’. Fogarty is the most knowledgeable, respected and connected of all those leaders. A loss to MLC.
