Going ahead in Sydney this October, the free one-day conference will bring together industry experts, thought leaders, peers and regulatory bodies to discuss accessibility and affordability in the advice sector and innovation within the industry.

Midwinter chief commercial officer, Steve Davison, said the company is “delighted” to be involved in this year’s Future Forum.

“There is strong demand for financial advice in Australia, but a lot of this demand is going unmet due to barriers such as the cost to access financial advice and consumer perception of its usefulness and value,” Mr Davison said.

“Improving accessibility and affordability of advice could be the key to growing the financial advice industry.

“At Midwinter, we believe technology is an important tool for improving both accessibility and affordability of advice for Australians. We’re focused on building technology that increases efficiency by doing the heavy lifting for advisers, and that helps advisers proactively engage and continually deliver value to their clients.

“We are delighted to be a gold sponsor of the 2021 ifa Future Forum, which is looking at ways to solve accessibility and affordability of advice, and look forward to meeting forward-thinking advisers at the event in October.”

Speakers confirmed for the 2021 event include AIOFP executive director Peter Johnston, Money Mentor’s Adele Martin, 9rok founder Kim Payne, business coach Stewart Bell and The Fold Legal’s Simon Carrodus, with more names to still be announced.

The 2021 Future Forum will take place at Four Seasons hotel in Sydney from 8am on Friday, 8 October.
