Speaking to ifa, Mr Zelman confirmed he will become an equity partner in the non-aligned dealer group.

“I believe the future is very bright at Bombora. I hope that as a part owner, my industry involvement – and, dare I say, leadership – will bear greater fruit for the group,” he said.

Mr Zelman said he joined Bombora because of the dealer group’s business model and operational infrastructure.

“It’s rare these days to find a dealer group that provides practice owners with a platform to collaborate, grow, mentor, attract and develop the next generation of risk advisers,” Mr Zelman said.

“I’m also drawn to the Bombora way, which is about professionalism, innovation and taking a leadership position within the industry.”

Mr Zelman added that another reason for his deciding to join Bombora was his aspiration to grow his business with the addition of advisers and specialist support services for his niche clientele.

“I’m also confident that innovative new products and services will be the outcome of Bombora’s working groups contributing ideas and concepts to manufacturers that are drawn from the ‘coal face’ and personal interaction to address the protection requirements of Australian consumers,” he said.

Bombora managing director Wayne Handley said MediBroker is a “very welcome” addition to the business and he is confident Mr Zelman’s growth objectives will be realised.

“The collegiate environment and camaraderie of like-minded industry professionals working together to chart our collective future continues to be an industry beacon,” Mr Handley said.

“Aaron’s passion, professionalism and high profile advocacy promoting the benefits of risk protection are well known and will be a tremendous asset for Bombora, further lifting the profile of the organisation and risk advice profession in general,” he said.

Mr Zelman’s practice has been licensed with Bombora Advice since November 2014.

Prior to joining Bombora, he was licensed with Synchron from August 2012.
