Now in its 11th year, the ifa Excellence Awards, run with support from principal partner Padua, will celebrate the top-performing professionals across the independent financial advice industry.

The prestigious awards program will culminate in a black-tie gala ceremony on Thursday, 5 December 2024 at The Fullerton Hotel, Sydney.

Commenting on Lonsec’s partnership, Naomi Christopher, head of marketing and public relations at Lonsec, said the partnership celebrates excellence in financial advice and its impact on the financial health of Australians.

“The ifa Excellence Awards are a celebration of the very best of the independent financial advice industry and recognise the very best innovations and products and services that improve the financial health of millions of Australian households,” Christopher said.

“The expertise that financial advisers bring to millions of Australians is vital and Lonsec is delighted to be a partner of these awards.”

The awards program has set the benchmark for excellence among Australia’s leading independent financial advisers and practices for more than a decade.

Finalists will battle it out across 20 individual and 13 group submission-based categories, including Holistic Adviser of the Year, which has been divided into state-based categories due to popular demand.

Individual categories include Client Services Co-ordinator of the Year, ESG Adviser of the Year, Dealer Group Executive of the Year, and Paraplanner of the Year.

Group categories include Best Financial Advice Employer of the Year, Dealer Group of the Year, Training and Education Partner of the Year, and Transformation of the Year – Company.

At the end of the ceremony, the highest-scoring individual winner will receive the prestigious ifa Excellence Award.

The awards were open to all businesses and professionals operating in the Australian financial advice profession, including those supporting the profession, ranging from financial advice practices to training and education providers, executives, investment advisers, paraplanners, and young advisers.
