Lifespan Financial Planning has been involved with the ifa Excellence Awards program since 2018 and stated that it has enjoyed the success and recognition that these awards offer.

Moreover, with the adviser network’s 30th anniversary of supporting advisers approaching, Lifespan Financial Planning chief executive officer Eugene Ardino told ifa that it was important to play a role in “recognising and celebrating quality, client-driven financial advice”.

“We are strong advocates for financial advisers and the important role they play in educating and empowering people to take control of their financial wellbeing,” Mr Ardino said.

“Given the upheaval and disruption over the past few years, it is important to take the time to celebrate and recognise advice professionals who work tirelessly to provide quality advice to clients.”

The awards also present an opportunity to recognise individuals and groups that support advisers in this endeavour, he added.

“As a profession, we are often too critical of ourselves in our continuous focus on improving and evolving our service and advice. These awards provide a valuable opportunity for the industry to gather, have fun, take stock, and celebrate our success and hard work,” Mr Ardino concluded.

The ifa Excellence Awards, which launched in 2014, showcases the depth of talent across Australia’s leading professionals and businesses in the financial advice industry, while affirming the sector’s essential role in supporting the expansion of Australia.

There were 17 individual and 12 group awards on offer for entrants to choose from and were open to all businesses operating in Australia supporting the industry, including senior executives, rising stars, as well as new and established businesses.

Individual categories include Client Outcome of the Year, Dealer Group Executive of the Year, Holistic Adviser of the Year, and Young Adviser of the Year (30 years or under).

Group categories include Best Financial Advice Employer, Client Servicing Company of the Year, Dealer Group of the Year, and Self-Licensed Firm of the Year.

Winners will be given the opportunity for press coverage, interviews, professional photos, and exclusive collateral.

The awards will be judged by a well-respected panel of academics, business executives, entrepreneurs, and innovators providing peer-reviewed recognition of the capabilities of businesses and professionals in financial advice and their passion for driving it forward.

Finalists will be announced on Thursday, 9 November 2023.

Winners will be revealed on Wednesday, 6 December 2023 at the ifa Excellence Awards ceremony, which will be held at the Four Seasons in Sydney. Click here to book your tickets.

The awards ceremony is an opportunity for members of the independent financial advice industry to network with leaders, colleagues, and their peers.
