Over 200 advisers who submitted for the awards have been narrowed down to just 62 of the best advisers and dealer groups in the industry.

Winners of the inaugural ifa Excellence Awards, an initiative of ifa and partnered by Colonial First State, will be announced at a five-star business luncheon at the Australian Technology Park Sydney on August 14.

Hosted by comedian Vince Sorrenti and catered by Matt Moran’s award winning restaurant ARIA, guests will be treated to a winter-inspired menu personally created by Mr Moran.

The five-star awards luncheon will celebrate the year’s greatest achievements and set a new benchmark for excellence within the sector.

ifa publisher Russell Stephenson said he was overwhelmed with the response received for the awards.

“Independent advice is a central concurrent theme to our industry and these awards are the first to recognise those advisers and advice businesses that are the industry’s finest,” Mr Stephenson said.

“We always anticipated strong participation in this awards program however the response we’ve received has far have exceed all expectations.”

“The quality of submissions across all categories has revealed a professional, focused and driven industry focused on best practice and a passion for providing expert advice. The judges certainly have a challenge ahead of them to dissect the submissions and determine the winners.”

“I’d like to congratulate and recognise the ifa Excellence Awards finalists and wish them good luck over the next stage of the judging process,” he added.

The judging panel consists of professionals from the financial services industry as well as experts in other business spheres, including business coaches and consultants, academics and senior executives.

The awards have also received an excellent response from industry stakeholders with Bennelong, Netwealth and Macquarie Group coming on board as gold partners.

Tables are now on sale for the awards dinner and are strictly limited, so make sure you purchase your tickets today to avoid missing out.
