HESTA CEO Debby Blakey said that Ms Collins’ senior leadership experience and industry knowledge would help the super fund continue to deliver outstanding outcomes for members.

“Sally brings extensive experience from senior roles in a range of global and Australian businesses,” she said.

“I look forward to the contribution she will make to both our executive leadership team and the whole organisation.”

In addition to her most recent role at VFMC, Ms Collins previously held several general manager positions at NAB and head of department roles at the Commonwealth Bank and AXA.

Commenting on her appointment, Ms Collins said she was excited to join HESTA and utilise her skills and experience.

“I am so delighted to join the executive team at HESTA and am looking forward to contributing to all the important work HESTA does in growing our members’ retirement savings at a time when our members are working so hard for all Australians,” she said.

Ms Collins was also recently appointed as chair of Autism Awareness Australia, having served as a non-executive director with the organisation since 2016.
