This has been a major undertaking by the development team on both sides to create a datafeed in accordance with the EPI 4.3 industry standard from the HALO Trading platform into IRESS Xplan.
HALO is an online global equities research and trade execution software solution that brings sophisticated institutional-grade analytical frameworks and market insights to Advisers and Investors. HALO includes two distinct yet integrated offerings in HALO Global, designed with professional grade tools without the cost, and HALO Trading, which offers global trade execution capability and ready-made themed investment portfolios that are ideal for ‘low-touch’ and ‘values based’ investors and SMSFs.
The integration will enable an automated data synchronisation between HALO Global Custody trading accounts and Xplan. Data from all stock and cash holdings will be synchronised daily – including all transactions, balances, and income. When corporate actions occur, all impacted positions and the associated historical transactions will automatically reflect the outcome of the event.
Xplan enables the efficient administration and management of the full life cycle of client advice. The integration will enable advisers to achieve greater efficiencies when investing across multiple exchanges and currencies. EPI 4.3 is the most advanced industry standard enabling multi adviser, multi account, multi-currency and multi asset class information sets.

Now that we have integrated into this EPI industry framework, new feeds are expected to be delivered to other platforms related to other market segments, including SMSF software in Australia.
