The summit will unite speakers including Silvio Giorgio, data & AI executive; Rob Roper, marketing and lead generation specialist; and Fraser Jack, The Cyber Collective Founder, for a day of jam-packed insights.

At the Adviser Innovation Summit, attendees will hear discussions on how to build a resilient portfolio, leverage big data for tailored solutions, and strengthen an organisation’s security posture.

The leading forum will also focus heavily on the transformative impact of AI in finance – Shi’s specialty.

At the summit, Shi will join other AI experts to discuss the ongoing impact of AI’s transformation in the workplace as well as the broader trends of AI in finance.

Shi is a finance professional turned AI entrepreneur and brings 15 years of experience in financial services and fintech to the summit.

Her tech-savvy mindset helped her launch the award-winning generative AI start-up Empathetic AI, which took home the third place in Australia’s inaugural AI Sprint in 2024.

The company developed Luna, Australia’s first AI tax co-pilot, powered by advanced generative AI technology. Luna is backed by the National AI Centre and supported by CSIRO’s Data61, the data and digital specialist arm of Australia’s national science agency.

Before founding Empathetic AI, Shi was previously the chief financial officer at Plus500 and Capital.com, where she led teams across seven countries while also supporting customers in more than 40 countries worldwide.

Shi also serves as an academic and industry partner at UNSW in a casual capacity. She has also acted as a course creator for the Institute of Applied Technology developing an AI in Finance course.

To hear Angela Shi speak on AI in finance, come along to this year’s Adviser Innovation Summit.

The summit will be held in the following locations:

  • Wednesday, 4 June 2025 at Pullman Melbourne on the Park, Melbourne
  • Wednesday, 11 June 2025 at Amora Hotel, Sydney
