FTSE Russell – a global index provider with over $30 trillion in assets tracking its benchmarks across active and passive investments – will support the ifa Excellence Awards this year.

The awards program is celebrating its 10th anniversary of recognising the best and brightest in the independent financial advice industry.

The firm’s head of Pacific, Index Investments Group, David Ho, said it is proud to support the awards program, which honours the financial advice industry’s brightest minds and dedicated professionals who have gone above and beyond for their clients.

“It is important that we take the time and effort to recognise the hard work, dedication, and innovation of financial advisers and their businesses around the country,” Mr Ho told ifa.

“What better way to do that than at the industry’s most anticipated awards ceremony. The ifa Excellence Awards are a fantastic peer-led and industry-engaged recognition program that celebrates the hard work and ethics of the advice industry, while at the same time motivating and inspiring their colleagues to innovate and deliver exceptional outcomes to Australians.”

Mr Ho added that it is “heartwarming” to witness independent advisers being recognised for improving the financial wellbeing of their clients and propelling the industry forward.

“By highlighting these best practices and sharing the success stories of different advice practices, we aim to improve and raise industry standards, and build trust and confidence in the advice profession,” he said.

Since launching in 2014, the ifa Excellence Awards have become an unparalleled awards program that champions the top businesses and professionals in the financial services industry across Australia.

Over 245 finalists will battle it out for the awards across 17 individual and 12 group submissions-based categories that were on offer this year.

Individual categories included Holistic Adviser of the Year, Investment Adviser of the Year, and Practice Principal of the Year.

Candidates could also choose from group categories like Best Financial Advice Employer, Digital Advice Strategy of the Year, and Self-Licensed Firm of the Year.

Winning an ifa Excellence Award helps advice practices and individual advisers distinguish themselves from their competitors, strengthen their position in the industry, elevate their personal brand, and unlock new career opportunities.

Winners are determined by a highly respected judging panel that includes academics, business executives, entrepreneurs, and innovators. Click here to view the methodology.

The awards were open to all businesses and individuals operating in Australia supporting the industry, including adviser networks, dealer groups and their executives, risk and SMSF advisers, and paraplanners, as well as innovators and the rising stars of tomorrow.

The awards program will culminate in a black-tie gala ceremony on Wednesday, 6 December 2023 at the Four Seasons, Sydney. Click here to buy tickets.

The ceremony presents an opportunity for members of the independent financial advice industry to network with leaders, colleagues, and their peers.
