FPA launches new advertising campaign

The FPA has launched a new national advertising campaign that is intended to promote the benefits of financial advice by a Certified Financial Planner (CFP).

In a statement, the association said the campaign will run from April until June 2017. It will aim to “dispel the myth that financial planning is just for the wealthy”, the statement said.

The campaign will focus on how a CFP can help people achieve key financial and lifestyle goals, such as planning for their children’s future and paying off their home.

“As with previous years, the campaign will continue to inform consumers about the international recognition of the CFP designation, as well as the high education, professional and ethical standards that the mark represents,” said FPA chief executive Dante De Gori.

“The difference this year is that the campaign will focus on how this translates into tangible outcomes.”

The FPA added that part of the campaign will run in “high traffic transit hubs and retail areas” in addition to national print advertising.

“We are very excited about this campaign and encourage FPA members to get behind it on social media and help us spread the message,” Mr De Gori said.

God I just love this self-righteous crap the FPA keep spouting about a CFP being so much better than anyone else, particularly when so many of them are nothing more DFP 1-8. Absolute bunch of crap.
Given the number of FPA members who aren’t CFP as well, I’d hate to be a part of an association who is effectively telling the public that you’re not as good. Great representation for all members
