Batsman Paul Collingwood and his wife Vicky are pursuing litigation against financial adviser Roderick Langham, a former managing director of Sigma Wealth Management described by the Daily Mail as “adviser-to-the-stars”.
The Collingwoods are seeking GBP 300,000 in damages from the UK High Court in recompense for lost investment in “high risk and unregulated collective investment funds”.
Langham reportedly also provided financial advice to sports professionals including footballers Shola Ameobi and Fabrice Muamba of the Bolton Wanderers.
