Findex has appointed a former Tax Institute chair as a partner with its tax advisory team in the company’s Perth office.

Corey Beat will assume the new role in Findex’s subsidiary, Crowe Australasia, after spending 11 years as a tax consultant at RSM Australia, seven of which were spent as a principal in RSM’s tax services division.

Mr Beat has over 20 years of experience in tax advice, including chairing the Tax Institute’s professional development committee in Western Australia prior to his time at RMS.

His knowledge in domestic tax law including corporate tax, complex capital gains tax and GST, as well as cross-border structuring, international tax planning, business sales, acquisitions and tax due diligence are said to be key to the decision to appoint him.

“Corey is a highly accomplished tax consultant, with a history of strong leadership, and we’re delighted that he’s joining the Findex family,” said Findex COO Tony Roussos.

“His appointment is a manifestation of our commitment to excellence in financial advice, to support businesses and families in every step of their financial journey.”

Mr Beat said he was excited to take on this new opportunity, expressing that he believed Findex and Crowe’s values aligned closely with his own.

“I’m excited to be joining the tax team at Findex, who share my values in delivering excellence for clients,” said Mr Beat.

“I’m looking forward to joining a national network of talented advisers, making a real difference in the lives of so many Australians.”
