Returning for its 11th year, in collaboration with principal partner Padua, the ifa Excellence Awards celebrates the outstanding achievements of independent financial advisers and practices, as well as the broader financial services industry across Australia.

A total of 304 finalists will battle it out for awards across 20 individual and 13 group submission-based categories this year.

With finalists chosen from 532 submissions, the ifa Excellence Awards champion financial advisers, dealer groups, advice networks, paraplanners, practice principles, industry thought leaders, and more.

Winners will be announced at a black-tie gala awards ceremony on Thursday, 5 December 2024 at The Fullerton Hotel in Sydney. Click here to buy tickets.

Finalists have been selected across 20 individual categories this year, including the new Client Services Co-ordinator of the Year and ESG Adviser of the Year awards.

Additionally, due to an overwhelming number of submissions for the Holistic Adviser of the Year category, we have decided to divide the award by state.

We will be announcing the Holistic Adviser of the Year for NSW, Queensland, Victoria, and a combined award for the ACT, South Australia, and Western Australia. Moreover, we will crown a nationwide Holistic Adviser of the Year.

Other individual categories range from Newcomer of the Year, Regional Adviser of the Year, and Practice Principal of the Year.

There are also 13 group categories for the company finalists at this year’s awards, such as Best Financial Advice Employer of the Year and Dealer Group of the Year.

At the end of the ceremony, the highest-scoring individual winner will receive the prestigious ifa Excellence Award.

Maja Garaca Djurdjevic, managing editor of Wealth Management, extended her congratulations to all finalists.

“A huge congratulations to our finalists! This year, we received a record number of submissions, highlighting the remarkable talent and innovation within the profession,” she said.

“We’re excited to showcase the remarkable achievements of each of you at our prestigious event. I can’t wait to celebrate with you and honour the incredible contributions you’ve made to the financial advice profession.”

The finalists have been chosen by a panel of Momentum Media events and editorial team members and executives, while winners will be decided by a well-respected panel of academics, business executives, entrepreneurs, and innovators, ensuring a peer-reviewed recognition of finalists capabilities.
