DASH Technology Group has partnered with MetLife Australia to develop a new insurance solution, utilising technology and leveraging the DASH platform to streamline the insurance process for advisers and Super Simplifier customers.

Utilising DASH’s investment platform, the new offering allows advisers to immediately access quotes and apply, view, and alter client insurance details powered by MetLife’s online application system.

DASH’s Super Simplifier offers customers three insurance products through MetLife, including life and terminal illness cover, total and permanent disability (TPD) cover, and income protection (IP) cover.

The new MetLife insurance option is designed specifically for Super Simplifier members and includes features such as up to 75 per cent replacement ratio plus a 10 per cent superannuation contributions for IP cover (subject to the minimum and maximum monthly benefit amounts), TPD payments that don’t offset IP payments, and access to 360Health, MetLife’s health and wellbeing offering.

DASH’s head of distribution, Tim Rogers, said the new offering will help bridge the insurance gap in Australia.

“This insurance product is a simple, advised solution that is aimed at addressing the under-insurance problem amongst Australians,” Rogers said.

“Many advisers have left the personal insurance advice space in more recent years due to growing complexity, but with this solution now in the market, they can deliver much-needed personal insurance advice to everyday Australians who need it.”

MetLife Australia chief insurance officer Meray El-Khoury said the partnership will make it easier for advisers to help their clients access the insurance they need.

“We offer fit-for-purpose insurance products that are easy to access and deliver value, by leveraging digital solutions to help our customers build a more confident future. Working with DASH means we are able to make it quick and easy for advisers to secure insurance for their clients,” El-Khoury said.

This follows DASH’s announcement last week that it has partnered with HealthyMe Digital to expand its offerings and provide holistic digital financial advice solutions to help low-balance clients alleviate financial stress and improve overall wellbeing.

Speaking at the time of the announcement, DASH’s head of adviser solutions, Terri Ho, said the offering would help provide clients with necessary additional support.

“Our joint venture with HealthyMe Digital endeavours to provide balanced and holistic wellness resources in different formats. This is while being able to access personal financial advice and track their ongoing progress towards their financial goals,” Ho said.
