In a statement issued yesterday, Charter announced that Kym Thyer of KTA Financial Services has been awarded the Gerald Lippman Perpetual Trophy, an award initiated in 1989 in recognition of contribution to Charter’s network of advisers.

“Kym has just entered his fourth decade of delivering high quality advice in his local community and remains a lifelong learner by continually pushing his boundaries of knowledge and understanding,” said Charter managing director Kevin Stone.

The National Value of Advice award has been awarded to Shane Lenehan of Silvan Ridge Financial Services, to recognise what his dealer group says has been advice that has resulted in a “significant and material change to a client’s financial future”.

“Shane’s care and expertise has meant that a client facing significant health and financial challenges can keep her home, has an ongoing income and back-up reserves for future medical costs, and will be able to leave her children an estate,” Stone said.
