After two years at the helm of Ignition Advice as the chief executive officer of the Asia-Pacific region, Craig Keary announced on LinkedIn on Friday that he would be departing the role to pursue an advisory and non-executive career.

“I have accepted a new role with Ignition Advice as senior adviser Asia-Pacific where I will be working closely with the board and executive to further Ignition’s growth in the Australia and Asia regions,” Mr Keary said.

Mr Keary joined Ignition two years ago, following his return to Australia from Asia.

“During that time, I worked with a talented group of individuals to strengthen Ignition’s opportunities and business model during a critical time for Ignition.

“As part of this role, I helped build a strong digital advice brand and prospect pipeline in Australia and securing a strategic investor. With this role, helping bridge the advice gap to enable more individuals to receive affordable and accessible advice, has been something that is personally important to me,” he said.

Mr Keary added that it was his decision to move to a non-executive role.

“I look forward to providing strategic insight around the Asia-Pacific wealth industry in a non-executive capacity to the Ignition board and executive,” he said.

“I am looking forward to the next chapter around my advisory and non-executive career in Australia, Asia, and Japan where I can contribute to the asset management, pensions, wealth management, financial advice, and digital transformation areas specifically and help provide broad leadership and governance capability from my leadership and board experience across Asia-Pacific.”
