With the number of practising advisers expected to decline by over 30 per cent in the new few years, Infocus’ new program will support the growth of practices within its advice network and further development opportunities to its extended team.

“Our aim is to fully support individuals who wish to make a profession out of the financial advice,” Infocus founder and managing director Darren Steinhardt said.

“We also want to support our business owners across the Infocus network, to help them continue to build and develop their advisory practices at a time when cost pressures are mounting.

“We’re excited about the opportunities that our burgeoning profession is presenting to the next generation of financial advisers; we want to play our part via this initiative and we trust it will have a positive impact for all stakeholders.”

The initiative has already been welcomed by Infocus’ network, with 10 individuals already set to commence their professional year in the coming months.

The news comes after Infocus picked up three nominations at the upcoming ifa Excellence Awards, including Dealer Group of the Year.

Mr Steinhardt is also up for Dealer Group Executive of the Year and Industry Thought Leader of the Year.

The ifa Excellence Awards celebrates the achievements of individuals and firms that have led the way in a difficult year for the sector, from rising stars and start-ups all the way to established professionals and businesses.

The event is currently scheduled to take place in person on Wednesday, 17 November, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney, with allocations limited in line with COVID restrictions. The event will also be live-streamed.
