An AMP spokesperson confirmed that Jill Hopkins had left the role of advice transformation program director after joining the company in late 2020.

“I can confirm that Ms Hopkins is no longer with the business. This is a project management role for which we will go through the process to find a suitable replacement,” the spokesperson said.

Ms Hopkins had held a number of senior business roles prior to her stint at AMP and spent five years at CBA as the program director for its Future Advice Model, which sought to deliver a “customer centric and efficient” advice service.

“Jill has extensive knowledge of the financial advice industry and is playing a key role on the ongoing transformation of AMP’s advice business as part of the group’s three-year strategy,” an AMP spokesperson told ifa at the time of Ms Hopkins’ appointment.

The corporate’s actions are at odds with their professed values & culture – what happened to Jill is merely an outcome of the 5+ years of questionable leadership, which remains unaddressed. I’ve worked with Jill – she is certainly capable

I’ve worked with Jill in the past and she is focused and delivers. I believe this is the 5th Director of Wealth transformation in 3 years, so clearly there must be a fundamental problem within AMP…..

Sure, she has had many positions – does stay long and leaves before the results of her work are realised?

They can survive a long time. Lots of legacy business and nobody wants to buy them.
