Adviser Innovation Summit returns to explore advice affordability and accessibility

Several distinguished speakers have been added to this year’s summit line-up to explore the future of financial advice and examine the impacts of QAR on advisers.

ifa is pleased to launch the hotly-anticipated Adviser Innovation Summit 2024, featuring sessions led by distinguished speakers from the financial advice profession.

The summit – which will take place on Tuesday, 4 June in Sydney and Thursday, 6 June in Melbourne – will equip advisers with strategies to thrive in the dynamic and evolving world of financial advice. Click here to buy tickets.

The Adviser Innovation Summit 2024 will provide actionable insights and innovative ideas for advice practices amidst regulatory changes and digital disruptions, with Ethos ESG director Nathan Fradley emceeing the event.

The summit includes Q&A sessions, networking opportunities, and a post-event “pub quiz” where attendees can engage with the day’s topics and enjoy general trivia.

What you’ll learn at the summit

The summit kicks off with a session led by Sarah Abood, chief executive officer of the Financial Advice Association Australia (FAAA), delving into the potential impacts of the Quality of Advice Review (QAR) recommendations, including the proposal for a two-tiered advice profession.

Next, Steve Prendeville, founder and director of Forte Asset Solutions, and Eugene Ardino, CEO of Lifespan Financial Planning, delve into the characteristics of successful practices, the influence of technology on service delivery, evolving client demands, and the prospects of self-licensing.

Other sessions include the re-evaluation and reimagination of risk advice for progress and a detailed examination of the revamped statements of advice in an interactive session that will provide insights into practical approaches for implementation.

The summit will also highlight strategies for advisers to build connections with Millennial and Gen Z clients, providing insights into intergenerational wealth transfer.

Moreover, artificial intelligence will take centrestage with Elixir Consulting founder Sue Viskovic leading an interactive session on AI and process automation in advice firms, while Adele Martin will wrap up the day with insights on streamlining file note processes using AI tools.

Throughout the summit, attendees can forge connections with industry leaders, like-minded professionals, experts, and potential collaborators.

The Adviser Innovation Summit 2024 will be held in the following locations:

Tuesday, 4 June at the Telstra Customer Insights Centre, Sydney, NSW

Thursday 6 June at Zinc at Fed Square, Melbourne, Victoria
