The Advisers Association, comprised of authorised representatives of AMP Financial Planning (AMPFP) and Hillross, announced on Wednesday that it had appointed Jennifer Mogg as its new board member.

Ms Mogg is operations manager, company secretary and director of Invest Blue, an AMPFP-aligned firm with a number of offices across NSW and Queensland.

Prior to joining the firm in 2008, Ms Mogg was a financial planner with Suncorp for two years.

Advisers Association chief executive Neil Macdonald said Ms Mogg would be a strong addition to the group, which aims to support members to deliver better advice to clients.

“The board is very much looking forward to working with Jennifer to help us deliver on our intent to represent, protect and enhance our members’ interests, so that they are enabled to efficiently deliver affordable financial advice to their clients,” he said.

It’s not the AMP Advisers Association taking action, its the advisers. The Association is making all the right noises whilst stepping on the heads of the smaller practices when they are under the water. I am sure Invest Blue understand how the 1 and 2 person practices are struggling.

That Association has always been self serving and essentially toothless.
