MLC Life announces multiple appointments

The life insurer has announced several new appointments to its retail distribution team.

General manager of retail distribution partnerships Michael Downey has confirmed four new hires to his team. Angela Reinmuth will join MLC Life as its national licensee manager, where she’ll move across from Zurich/OnePath where she worked as its national strategic account manager.

Ms Reimuth also recently completed a contract role with AIA Australia.

Meanwhile, Jason Perrotto has been confirmed as a new adviser partnership manager in NSW, while Kirsten Galvin and Arthur Tsimbouris will take on the same position in Victoria.

Mr Perrotto previously worked as a BDM at Asteron Life, Ms Galvin was a life/risk BDM at Zurich/OnePath, and Mr Tsimbouris was a platform BDM with ANZ OnePath/IOOF.

“I’m delighted to welcome Angela, Jason, Kirsten and Arthur to our team,” Mr Downey said.

“We are keen to hit the ground running next year as we build on our partnership credentials. They are all highly experienced insurance industry professionals with a passion for improving our partnerships with advisers and licensees and will strengthen our team immensely.”

The news comes less than a week after MLC Life chief executive of ESSSuper Mark Puli was announced as the company’s new chief group insurance officer.

Mr Puli joined following some changes to its life insurance division that will see it become a separate standalone function; however, the retail insurance team will continue with the division.
