Commenting on the partnership, Padua co-founder Matt Esler said the ifa Excellence Awards aligns with the fintech’s values and mission to support licensees, advisers, and their staff in providing high-quality advice to clients.

“Padua’s decision to partner with the IFA Excellence Awards 2023 reflects our commitment to excellence, innovation, and recognising outstanding achievements across the advice industry,” he told ifa.

“By supporting the awards, Padua demonstrates its dedication to fostering growth, professionalism, and best practices within the financial advice industry. We believe that celebrating excellence not only inspires licensees and individuals to strive for greatness but also contributes to the overall enhancement of financial advice as a profession in Australia.

“Our partnership with the ifa Excellence Awards reinforces our commitment to this mission.”

Padua’s other co-founder, Anne-Marie Esler, added that awards like these serve multiple key purposes including rewarding outstanding professionals and firms, and motivating them to maintain high standards and continually improve their services.

“These awards provide a platform to showcase best practices and innovation, encouraging the industry to adopt and implement these highly successful strategies,” Ms Esler told ifa.

“Furthermore, they build trust and credibility within the profession, helping clients identify reliable and reputable licensees and advice firms. Finally, these awards foster healthy competition, drive innovation, and contribute to the industry’s growth, benefiting both advice professionals and their clients.”

The 10th annual ifa Excellence Awards will provide national recognition to the leading advice practices and advisers who have dedicated themselves to consistently work in the best interests of their clients.

Over 245 finalists will battle it out for the awards across 17 individual and 12 group submissions-based categories that were on offer this year.

Individual categories included Client Outcome of the Year, Innovator of the Year – Individual, and Young Adviser of the Year (30 years and under).

Candidates could also choose from group categories like Client Servicing Company of the Year, Training and Education Provider of the Year, and Wellness Program/Initiative of the Year.

Winning an award helps advice practices and individual advisers distinguish themselves from their competitors, pinpoint professional development and innovation, strengthen their position in the industry, elevate their personal brand, and unlock new career opportunities.

Winners are determined by a highly respected judging panel that includes academics, business executives, entrepreneurs, and innovators. Click here to view the methodology.

The awards were open to all businesses and individuals operating in Australia supporting the industry, including adviser networks, dealer groups and their executives, risk and SMSF advisers, and paraplanners, as well as innovators and the rising stars of tomorrow.

The awards program will culminate in a black-tie gala ceremony on Wednesday, 6 December 2023 at the Four Seasons, Sydney. Click here to buy tickets.

As Ms Esler noted, the ceremony presents an opportunity for members of the independent financial advice industry to network with leaders, colleagues, and their peers.
