Hosted by Momentum Media, the Women in Finance Awards is returning for its sixth consecutive year to recognise the women leading the charge across the finance industry.

The 2022 awards program — which culminates in a cocktail luncheon event on Thursday, 3 November at The Star in Sydney — sets the benchmark for excellence while celebrating the outstanding contribution made by women to propel the industry.

This year, the Women in Finance Awards will recognise the hard work, dedication, and stellar results of women across 28 individual and group categories.

Entrepreneurs, CEOs, regional professionals, thought leaders, and mentors from across accounting, banking, insurance, financial advice, funds management, mortgage and finance broking and superannuation will all be championed at the awards.

At the end of the ceremony, the highest scoring individual from the individual category winners will be crowned as the recipient of the prestigious Women in Finance Excellence Award.

The awards are peer reviewed by a panel of highly regarded judges and provide recognition of the capabilities of women in the finance industry and their passion for driving the industry forward.

Nominations and submissions close on 8 September 2022, with finalists announced and tickets going on sale on 7 October 2022.

Speaking about the awards, ifa sister publication, The Adviser editor Annie Kane said that the program not only rewards excellence and helps propel career advancement, but also creates much-needed female role models in a space traditionally dominated by men.

“The Women in Finance Awards are a fantastic opportunity to celebrate excellence across the financial services space.

“We know from industry research that the proportion of female brokers in industry has dropped to a new record low recently, so showcasing the fantastic women who are leading the way is more important now, than ever.

“As well as strengthening their position when winning and retaining business, the finalists and winners of the Women in Finance Awards may also have the added benefit of setting their businesses apart from their competitors when attracting and retaining top talent, which can be key in this current, tight employment market.

“If you know a leading woman (or women) in the finance industry who you believe deserves recognition for their hard work, then make sure you submit an entry now!”

To make a submission, decide which categories you are eligible to enter, register your account through our secure awards platform, and fill in the details of your submissions. When you are happy with your submission, press save and lodge it.

Click here to submit an entry or nominate a worthy colleague by 8 September 2022 and don’t miss out on the chance to gain recognition at a national level.
