ifa is pleased to have Midwinter Financial Services on board as a gold partner for the Adviser Innovation Summit this year.
The mainstay summit on innovation is back, and will take place on 1 and 8 June 2022.
The conference is replete with sessions by industry leaders for financial advisers, business owners, executives, and fintech consultants.
With businesses around the globe seeing five years of technological advancement in the last 12 months, there has never been a better time to bring advisers up to speed on the latest trends in fintech, innovation, digital transformation, and financial buzzwords including the metaverse, decentralised finance, and finfluencers and their potential impact on advice practices and future business operations.
Steve Davison, chief commercial officer at Midwinter, said the team at the technology provider is delighted to return as a gold partner of the summit.
“The financial services ecosystem is transforming, and advisers need to keep ahead of the changing regulatory environment, economic pressures, and consumer demands to stay competitive,” he said.
“At Midwinter, we want to transform the way financial advice is delivered and consumed. Our sophisticated financial advice software supports this goal, providing new and better ways for advice practitioners to deliver advice and run their business.
“Our team is looking forward to meeting advisers to discuss their thoughts on innovation in financial advice and how technology can better support their business and customers."
Speakers at this year’s summit include the founder of machine learning company Flamingo AI and adviser on responsible technology and the future of work, Dr Catriona Wallace.
Founder of Advice Revolution, Adrian Patty and Volt Bank Australia chief customer and partnerships officer Andrew Clouston will speak about how advisers could capitalise on open banking to gain access to their clients’ financial information in a cyber-safe environment and explain the applications of the new Consumer Data Rules for trusted advisers.
Channel 9 financial commentator, Canna Campbell, and money mentor and founder of The Savings Squad podcast and My Money Buddy, Adele Martin, will explore the world of finfluencers and provide tips on how advisers could leverage video marketing and podcasting tools to expand reach, increase engagement, drive sales, and maximise their return on investment.
Meanwhile, Major General (Ret’d) Dr Marcus Thompson, Australian Defence Force (ADF) former head of information warfare, will explain how to manage the ever-growing financial risk of cyber penetration, and provide solutions that can be implemented to thwart cyber security threats.
