Count Financial adds Bendigo firm to network

Venture is the second firm to join Count Financial from Godfrey Pembroke, after Ascent Private Wealth in November.

Count Financial stated it had been strategically targeting advice firms to join its network throughout 2020.

Nicola Chaffe, director and financial adviser at Venture, said the move had largely been influenced by the companies’ shared values-based approach.

“We were introduced to Count Financial by a Melbourne-based financial adviser who had moved there in late 2019,” she said.

“When describing her experience with Count Financial, one comment really resonated with us — she said she had found ‘her people’ in the industry. For our younger advisers, that sense of community which Count Financial offers will be a positive influence as they forge their careers.”

Venture, a regional firm with accounting ties, was said to align with Count Financial’s accounting-led advice model. Ms Chaffe said the firm was excited to begin connecting with other members in regional Victoria.

“Their [the staff at Venture] experience will be a valuable resource for other firms in our network to leverage as we look to deliver more peer-sharing initiatives in 2021,” Count chief advice officer Andrew Kennedy said.
