In a statement, Stanford Brown said that Nicky Boustred, who previously ran North Shore-based boutique advice business Nixon Boustred Advisory, had joined the group as a private wealth adviser and shareholder.

Vincent O’Neill, recently appointed chief executive of Stanford Brown, said Ms Boustred’s ability to build strong and enduring client relationships would stand her in good stead as a new member of the advice group.

“Nicky is a wonderful addition to the Stanford Brown team. Her professional, boutique and technically rigorous approach are a natural fit and I’m confident both she and her clients will be entirely at home at Stanford Brown,” Mr O’Neill said.

“We welcome Nicky’s valued and longstanding clients to our family and look forward to complementing her expertise and premium offering with even greater resources and additional services.”

Ms Boustred said the retirement of her original practice’s co-founder had prompted her to seek out a new advice group that was a good fit for her way of doing business.

“What motivates me every day is the trust my clients place in me and the role I play in helping them achieve the future they want,” she said.

“After a thorough search, I am delighted to have found in Stanford Brown a boutique firm which embodies similar values, rigour and service to me. Joining the team gives me access to deep expertise across highly relevant areas for my Clients, including a top-level investment committee, tax and accounting services and personal insurances.”

Prior to her career in financial planning, Ms Boustred ran a financial literacy business for women and worked in a range of roles for EY and tech group Dimension Data.
