Now in its fourth year, the Women in Finance Awards is a national awards program designed to shine a spotlight on the strength, diversity and innovation female leadership brings to professional and financial services in Australia.
This year, there are 28 categories and one excellence award up for grabs, which aim to highlight the achievements of women across a broad range of industries that contribute to Australia’s financial services market.

“This is the second year AMP Bank has supported Momentum Media’s Women in Finance Awards and never has there been a more important time to celebrate women making a difference in the financial services industry,” said AMP Bank managing director Rod Finch.
“As we continue to face into the many challenges of COVID-19, we are seeing women making important contributions. Women are shaping and influencing our industry and beyond, highlighting the power of diversity and inclusion, particularly in fostering diversity of thought.
“Today’s leaders have an important role to play in fostering diversity of thought. Indeed, I believe this is one of the standout attributes that will prove invaluable as we continue to manage through these challenging circumstances and as we progress through to recovery.”
The Women in Finance Awards seeks to provide a platform for females to gain industry-wide recognition, propel their career and accelerate their business growth.
This year the Women in Finance Awards will be held on 10 September 2020 as a live broadcast event.

Another woke complete BS, look at me, award.
When are you holding the men in finance award? Let me guess….there is not one. Can you imaging the outcry if the heading said men only. When i spoke to my wife about this (who is an executive) she commented that these awards themselves are a joke and any female worth their salt that wins one, should know deep down that they are nothing more than a show to progress an agenda. She also commented that it was highly likely the whole idea of a women in finance award was probably thought up by a male. The irony…..
Most of the industry awards are jokes, not just financial services. It’s just a low grade marketing/advertising tool, and to sell overpriced tables to the awards night (pre-Covid). No one intelligent really cares.
Next time you’re at any type of industry event, take a look around and come up with some rough statistics for the gender representation.
It’s not all that accurate a measure, but I have a high confidence that you will find the percentage of women present is far less than the percentage of women in the population.
Consider whether this might indicate that the current playing field is not in fact, level.
Cool. Next time you are at a Hospital or a Pre-School, in relation to the Nurses and Teachers, “take a look around and come up with some rough statistics for the gender representation”
Then consider whether that is a level playing field and whether we should strive for better representation of men in Nursing and Kindergarten teaching roles.
I’m not decrying events or programs aimed at increasing male participation in those fields. Equality of opportunity for all!
Yep, that’s pretty much what many people, who aren’t buying in to the current social agenda, are thinking.
