FinClear has brought on a portfolio manager with almost 25 years of experience in financial services to its investment management committee.
The clearing, settlement and wealth management technology and service provider has appointed principal and portfolio manager of the Geometrica Fund, Gary Hui, to the committee, according to a statement.
FinClear chief executive David Ferrall said the company was delighted to have Mr Hui’s expertise on the team.
“We’re really focused on the quality of the products we’re offering through the HIN Platform and having skills like Gary’s in the room helps ensure we’re giving our users unique, smart investments that will work hard over the long term,” Mr Ferrall said.
Mr Hui said FinClear’s efficient, technology-based approach to investment infrastructure had been the drawcard for him to join.
“I like efficiency – there is so much wasted time and money in the traditional retail investment infrastructure chain,” Mr Hui said.
“Stripping out those wasteful layers leaves more in the system at the end of the day for the retail investor, and that is hugely beneficial for everyone involved.”
