An executive has joined IOOF as its new head of advice governance following a stint running a customer remediation program for a major bank’s advice business.
David Flynn was most recently at BT Financial Group, where he was program director for Westpac’s structured advice remediation program, and has also spent time at ANZ, ING Australia and Zurich.
Mr Flynn will join IOOF on 29 April and will be based in its Sydney office.
“We’re very excited to have David join the team,” said IOOF general manager of advice, Darren Whereat.
“With his deep understanding of the regulatory and professional requirements for the industry, strong focus on governance and extensive experience leading large teams, he will be a great addition to our advice business.”
Adrian Flores is a deputy editor at Momentum Media, focusing mainly on banking, wealth management and financial services. He has also written for Public Accountant, Accountants Daily and The CEO Magazine.
