Non-bank dealer group Synchron has appointed one of its advisers as the new state manager for NSW.
Matthew Wallis will sell his Engadine-based practice, Straightforward Financial Planning, to step into the new role, Synchron said in a statement.
Synchron director Don Trapnell said Mr Wallis was well-suited to the role, adding that that he “has the energy and commitment to build on” the legacy left by former NSW state manager Paul Del Grande, who resigned from the role to focus on his own practice – In Sync Financial Services.
“Matthew joined Synchron in 2013 and is a graduate of five Synchron NextGen conferences,” Mr Trapnell said.
“He has spent his working life in financial services and has an intimate understanding of advice businesses and the issues facing advisers today, having built his own practice from scratch.”
