Aus Ethical expands adviser-facing team

Ethical investment fund Australian Ethical has expanded their team in two newly created roles, manager of adviser relationships and manager of partner relationships.

According to a statement, Quyen Dam, who has had business development and relationship managing experience at the Commonwealth Bank, Westpac, BT Financial Group, IOOF Holdings and most recently ING Direct, has been appointed to the position of manager of adviser relationships.

New manager of partner relationships Joanne Robb also has a background at IOOF as a key account executive of four years, and before that was a conference and events associate at BlackRock for 13 years.

Australian Ethical managing director Phil Vernon said the appointments reflected client demand for ethical investments.

“We believe advisers will play a critical role in educating clients and bringing ethical investing into the mainstream,” Mr Vernon said.

“Australian Ethical is experiencing strong growth in the adviser channel with representation on all major platforms, broad dealer group support, and a strong pipeline of adviser inquiries.

“This reflects the fast-paced growth of the overall business with Australian Ethical recently named as the fastest growing superfund in 2016.”

Both Ms Dam and Ms Robb will report to Leah Waldie, head of client relationships.

“Quyen and Joanne both bring diverse and extensive experience to their respective roles," Ms Waldie said.

“These appointments will continue to drive our current focus on ensuring advisers and their clients have access to a range of high quality ethical options that deliver solid performance while supporting a sustainable future.”
