Consulting firm launches new service to boost advice businesses

Introducing GSD Lab.

Elixir Consulting has announced a new service solely created to assist advice businesses.

Lana Clark, founder of the independent business consulting firm’s new GSD Lab service which launches tomorrow (Thursday, 13 April), said it will offer an “expert pair of hands” to help business owners implement and deliver plans.

“Working with advisers and business owners over many years to help them develop their business strategy we have found the list of change management projects has been significant and it hasn’t slowed down. We’ve seen a real increase in pressure points for business owners where they just can’t keep up with both working in their business as well as on it, and with a current skills shortage in advice, finding the right team members is increasingly difficult,” Ms Clark said.

GSD Lab’s services include completing process diagnostics, building workflows, conducting client surveys and coordinating website launches.

“We are bringing short term support to advice businesses where their teams don’t have the time and sometimes the specific expertise to bring a whole project together,” she continued.

“We love advice, and we love seeing advisers and advice businesses doing great things with and for their clients, their teams and themselves; there are just not enough hours in the week anymore for them to do it all.”

Elixir Consulting managing director Sue Viskovic added that the new service will be most beneficial to owners who are in need of project implementation specialists for short periods of time.

“Bringing in the right GSD consultant for the right project will get the job done without the long-term commitment,” Ms Viskovic said.

“It’s a great addition to help us deliver on our purpose of helping improve advice businesses because we know what great advice can do for people.”
