IOOF-aligned firm joins ClearView dealer group

An advice group licensed by IOOF-aligned Bridges Financial Services has announced it will jump ship and join a ClearView-owned licensee.

In a statement, Matrix Planning Solutions said Chelsea Wealth Management, a NSW practice with 13 staff and three offices, had decided to join the dealer group after a detailed tender process.

The group specialises in holistic advice for retirees and had a large client base of police-affiliated families, being a subsidiary of Police Bank.

Chelsea Wealth Management general manager Rick Di Cristoforo said the group had selected Matrix as its new licensee due to their significant investment in improving practice efficiency among their affiliated groups.

“We were clear about our objective to find the best partner to help us increase business efficiency, ensure the right systems and processes were in place and capture opportunities for growth,” Mr Di Cristoforo said.

“Matrix is one of Australia’s leading licensees. It has a vision, culture and values that are aligned to our own. We are committed to serving our clients, maintaining a high standard of excellence and continuous improvement, which is why we selected Matrix.”

Matrix chief executive Allison Dummett said the licensee was focused on solutions to help advisers tackle the growing regulatory burden.

“Over the past few years, Matrix has invested heavily in people, processes and technology to support our advisers to run more efficient practices and spend more time on business building activities, like seeing clients, and less time on administration,” she said.

“We are proud of our reputation for helping advisers to navigate regulatory and structural change, meet their ongoing regulatory requirements and better serve their clients.”
