FYG Planners managing director Peter Mancell said the firm was excited to gain Mr Wootton’s experience and skills across financial services and technology.

“We are thrilled to add Andrew’s tremendous talents to our already outstanding management and support team. With 30 years’ experience in financial services, his knowledge will be an invaluable addition to our experience base,” Mr Mancell said.

“Andrew spent more than a decade with XPLAN, working closely with firms like ours. Harnessing Andrew’s experience in this area underlines our commitment to ongoing technology advancement at FYG.”

Mr Wootton said it was his previous experience collaborating with FYG that contributed to the decision to take the general manager position.

“FYG are and have always been professional in the way they deliver advice and support clients. The opportunity to be part of the team and help to continue that into the future was too great to give up,” he said.

“There are opportunities to grow the FYG adviser network, but more importantly to enable FYG advisers to deliver professional, consistent advice that help their clients achieve their goals.”
