The last few years have seen a revolution in the Australian financial advice community. Amid increasing regulatory intervention and political scrutiny, a growing number of advisers have chosen to obtain their own licences or join dealer groups, fuelling the momentum of the Australian independent financial advice (IFA) movement.
But while the movement has been growing, alongside rising consumer demand for independence and scepticism of the institutions, the community is splintered into various associations and factions, and is geographically spread across the map.
After its successful launch in 2017, the IFA Convention is back again in 2018 to bring together Australia’s independently minded and client-centric financial advisers. This is a must-attend milestone event for advisers who value their independence and fiduciary duty and are looking forward to a prosperous and positive future.
The IFA Convention 2018 will put the politics and negativity aside and engage Australia’s IFA movement in a positive discussion around wellness, excellence and performance. It will provide high-quality content from experts and peers to help financial advisers achieve personal and client wellbeing.
Licensees, advisers and principals will network with like-minded professionals, discuss the industry’s big issues, and begin to build a more cohesive sense of community that is better at collaboration and competition, and better at selling itself to consumers.
