Sivan Atad brings a wealth of experience from across the financial tech sector including around eight years at Tech Mate where he was a fractional chief product and technology officer as well as a tech and product adviser for the firm and spent seven years at Commonwealth Bank in engineering and cyber security.

In 2022, he also founded nVest, a provider for financial services groups helping them implement technology innovations to improve efficiency.

As he steps into Adviser Ratings (AR), Atad will utilise his expertise in leveraging complex data to help advice businesses evolve.

The firm said in a LinkedIn post: “That’s exactly what we need for where AR is heading.”

At the same time, AR is also preparing for its own evolution, with Atad leading through technology, product, data and AI – the core building blocks of the firm’s next steps.

“We’ve spent years building the most comprehensive data asset in Australian financial advice. Now we’re turning that into a genuine AI-first platform – where intelligence is embedded in how we operate, how we build products, and how our clients make better decisions,” AR said.

While it prepares to step into its next phase, the firm said the addition of Atad as well as the changes to the platform will help it better support the needs of advisers and the wider industry.

“To the advisers and licensees we work with, this means better tools, sharper insights, and a platform that works harder for you.

“To the vendors and partners in this ecosystem, we’re building the infrastructure layer that the industry needs. And we’re just getting started.”

Rounding out the leadership team, Atad will work alongside chief operating officer Katie Dukes and managing director Angus Woods in leading AR’s future strategy.
